SF Brown is a New Mexico corporation founded by
brothers Mark and Merritt Brown. Native Santa Feans, Mark and Merritt
have been involved in residential
development and construction nearly from birth. Sons of well respected,
longtime Santa Fe builder/developer C. L. (Lee) Brown, they have
participated in the construction of hundreds of homes that have
been recognized as Santa Fe symbols of quality and durability.
After earning degrees in Civil Engineering and
acquiring considerable experience in related fields, the brothers
enlisted the respected, experienced advice of both their father
and Allen Stamm, Santa Fe's grandfather of the home building industry,
to find the best way to impact Santa Fe's burgeoning construction
market. The advice they received was simple and to the point: "Build
homes, not houses, and build each home as if it were for your own
family." That advice has been well heeded. From their first
residential project, the Villa San Francisco townhomes, to their
current business park projects, SF Brown has enjoyed remarkable
success due to quality construction, affordable pricing, and quick
appreciation.
The SF Brown team is completed by Marc Bertram,
Director of Sales and Marketing. Also a longtime Santa Fe resident,
Mr. Bertram has been a real estate professional in Santa Fe for
over twenty years and is responsible for leasing and selling. He
is gifted with the talent of bringing the prospective buyer into
the SF Brown family of proud home and business owners.
While initially formed as a residential contractor
and developer, SF Brown has recently expanded its focus to include
the development and construction of high quality, unique business
parks in the Santa Fe area. Since 1997, SF Brown has developed numerous
office projectsincluding South Park, Rodeo Park, and Rodeo
Park Eastthat comprise over 130,000 square feet of flexible,
professional space. Currently, SF Brown is in the planning stages
of two additional large scale commercial projects on Santa Fe's
south side, which will add some 200,000 square feet of office space
to the City Different.
